About Us

About National Mining Corporation

National Mining Corporation was established on March 18, 1993 by Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Ali Al-Amudi. On the same day, Ethio-Libya was transferred from government control to National Mining Corporation. The company was officially established as National Mining Corporation Private Share Company by Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Ali Al-Amoudi and Sheikh Hassan Hussein Ali Al-Amudi in 1996.

On March 1, 2007, the company successfully acquired Ethiopian Marble Processing Enterprise through a bid of Birr 110 million. The company's paid-up capital was Birr 43 million in 1994, which has continuously increased over the years. In 2001, the paid-up capital grew to Birr 103 million and currently stands at Birr 213 million.
